The purpose of this wiki is to explore the purpose, design, function and role of the hospital of the future.

• When will we build the last hospital? In 2025, sooner, later?
• Is the hospital in need of substantial reform? It is a remnant of industrial age thinking, while we are living in and moving through the information age, toward somewhere new.
• What's a hospital for anyway? With expanded primary care, and changes in clinical practices, do people really need to be in a hospital anymore, or are there olternatives which we haven't thought of yet?
• How do we green the hospital? They are environmentally risky places, with hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, infectious waste.
• Can we reduce their carbon footprint? They account for perhaps 3% of a country's carbon emissions.
• Why are they so dangerous? Hospitals, and healthcare, are 30% more dangerous as places to work in, from musculoskeletal problems, to stress and anxiety.
